Hello...I found your blog through the bakery site when I googled Fort Worth cake shops, looking to find a place for a witches castle cake for my daughters birthday. Imagine my surprise to find this posting! I am 34 and I have Lupus with RA-like symptoms in some of my joints. I hate my medications. I get so frustrated with my Rheumatologist, who just says I need to deal with the daily pain and "take up to 32 ibuprophen a day, along with some other pain medications" he has prescribed. I can't wait to read your new blog and get some insight as to what you have done with natural remedies. By the way - I love Central Market!

For this cake we used "orchid pink" over an already pink base of fondant. Make sure you're mixing your luster and alcohol thick enough to make a runny paste-like "paint", then you should get better coverage.

I would just like to thank you. You and your bakery made my day! I was so worried about eating cake with my husband on our first anniversary. I had found your bakery online a few weeks before our anniversary when we were going to be in the area. We were unable to stop by. You are a God send to people with allergies. The cake was AMAZING. I love that they chose to have a fun cake, something that really represented them, instead of the classic wedding cakes. It shows they have irony, and that helps a lot in a marriage ;-)

Thanks for your question. No, these boxes and inserts are made from unbleached natural paperboard which use typically 25-30% less fiber than other box materials. Compared to other
virgin fiber products, that's 25-30% fewer trees to produce the same amount of boxes. Compared to bleached
paperboard, it is better for the environment because strong solvents are not used to bleach the pulp. Also,
the fiber for these boxes comes from Sustainable Forestry Initiativ lumber - lumber
collected and reforested utilizing environmentally friendly practices.
